| The Barrie Agricultural Society has evolved over the past
many years and has grown from an annual summer fair to over 400 events
per year and more than 200,000 guests. We continue to focus on fostering educational programs and development of agricultural youth through programs such as 4-H clubs and Junior Farmers while promoting tourism through our events. We provide a forum for local groups and service clubs to realize their fundraising goals through participation in The Barrie Fair as well as stand alone events. BARRIE FAIR August 26 – 30, 2009 has been cancelled.We are in the process of relocating our Fairgrounds. The Board of Directors have decided that it would be best for us to concentrate all of our efforts on securing our new site and focus on the construction and build of our new facility.We wish to acknowledge and thank all of our visitors, sponsors, volunteers, competitors, exhibitors and concessionaires for being a part of the Barrie Fair and hope you will all join us in 2010. |
